Two sources who have been privy to the Jones-Parcells discussions feel that the coach will actually welcome the streamlined design of the Dallas front office. Coaching staff: It will be impossible, because many of them are on staffs elsewhere in the NFL, for Parcells to reassemble that ol' gang of his when it comes to assistant coaches. But he entered into the comeback process, both last year and this month, knowing that.

Donnan, who said Wednesday he hasn't been contacted by Parcells, recently turned down an offer to become head coach at Kentucky. Neither would it be surprising, if he doesn't land another head coaching spot or decide to sit out a year, for Tom Coughlin to be part of the Parcells staff. In fact, Parcells is too smart to try to spin that myth.
